Do I Need Coaching or Therapy?
The major difference between therapy and coaching is the focus of the work. Therapy focuses on health and emotional healing while coaching focuses primarily on setting and achieving goals. In my experience most people can benefit from a combination of both and we can explore this in our initial consultation.

What Happens At The Start of Therapy?
After you get in touch I will contact your to arrange a first meeting. The first session is an opportunity for me to find out more about what brought you to therapy. In the initial session I will ask you questions to better understand the issues that you face. We will discuss your goals for therapy and how you feel that I can help you. You will also have the opportunity to ask me any questions that you may have. After the session you can decide if I am the right therapist for you or perhaps whether now is the right time for you to come to therapy.
How Long Does Therapy Last For?
The length of therapy can differ depending on what you want to change. For some issues we might agree to work for a set number of sessions and then review where we are. Deeper issues however may require a longer period of commitment. We can always take time out to review where you are and explore the best way forward.
Is Therapy Confidential?
Yes - all our sessions are confidential in accordance with the BACP code of ethical practice. The are some exceptions to this if there was a risk of harm to yourself or others.
